SD Biosensor. SD Biosensor’s Standard M nCoV RT Detection kit was approved on the same day with Solgent on February 27th.
It also detects E gene and RdRP gene strains. Like the detection kits developed by Kogene Biotech, Seegene, and Solgent, SD Biosensor’s Standard M nCoV RT Detection kit also provides all reagents required for PCR, and only one tube reaction is required for the identification and detection of 2019-nCOV.
The company is currently capable of testing 300,000 patients per week. SD Biosensor also has an antibody-based detection kit named STANDARD Q COVID-19 lgM/lgG Duo.
Although it has not acquired the urgent-use license granted by South Korea’s MFDS (given that MFDS only grants use licenses for RT-PCR-based detection kits), MFDS granted an export license to SD Biosensor’s antibody-based detection kit.
